Taal & Tongval recently published an article by Eric Hoekstra, Bouke Slofstra and me with the title Adpositions in schwa in Saterland Frisian. It describes paired adpositions in the Frisian dialect of the Saterland. Both adpositions in these pairs, like uut and ute (“out”) have similar meanings, but the ones ending in schwa tend to convey an element of stability, whereas its counterpart has an aspect of change.
